If you are the authorized agent of a California resident, making a Request to Know or a Request to Delete on behalf of the resident, we may ask you for, as applicable:

1.        Proof of your registration with the California Secretary of State to conduct business in California; and

2.        Proof of a power of attorney from the resident pursuant to Probate Code sections 4121-4130.

If you are an authorized agent and have not provided us with a power of attorney from the resident pursuant to Probate Code sections 4121-4130, we may also require the resident to:

1.        Provide you with a written permission signed by the resident to make the request on the resident’s behalf;

2.        Verify the resident’s own identity directly with us; and

3.        Directly confirm with us that the resident provided the authorized agent permission to make the request.

This must be a permission signed by the resident. “Signed” means that the permission has either been physically signed or provided electronically in accordance with the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act, Civil Code 1633.7 et seq.
